In My Dreams

by Candice Brazil | May 5, 2024 | 10,000 Matchsticks, Poetry

Only in my dreams,
I’m blessed enough,
To wear your ring.

Only in my dreams,
I am allowed,
To call you My King.

Only in my dreams,
You’ve opened your heart,
And let me in.

Only in my dreams,
I fall asleep every night,
Against your skin.

Only in my dreams,
You held me in all the ways,
Other men could not.

Only in my dreams,
I’m the one you’ll always love,
Not the one you forgot.

Only in my dreams,
You want to receive from me,
All the love I have to give.

Only in my dreams,
I live in the world,
Where I’m happy to live.
