Too Late

It’s never too late
To seize your fate

You think your kind heart will set you apart?
Does proving your worth make you feel smart?
Truth is you’re too scared of failure to even start.
Self preservation is a practiced art.
Your best course of action is to decide to depart.

There’s something I need you to understand
They’re hoping to pull you down,
Everytime you extend your hand.
Revelation comes from living lessons,
It’s not something you can demand.

You’re wasting precious time,
thinking you need a team,
Hoping that one day,
you’re gonna be seen,
Wondering who’ll be first,
To believe in your dream.
That ain’t no way to reign as a queen.

You’re always trying to help someone else,
Truth is, you don’t believe in yourself.

Saying yes when you wanna say no,
Searching for someone to help you grow.
You won’t find bliss in this ignorance though,
You can’t reap while sabotaging the sow,
You’re the force behind every blow that they throw
There’s no leveingl up with anchors in tow
There’s no coming up with energy that low

Focus on your shit, get straight
That’s the only way to be great
This ain’t chess girl, you don’t need a mate
Every second you wait your testing fate
Hurry now, before it’s too late.
